on the sub chaser. When we short of officers stood officers watch. One night I went down to the officers quarters to get the captain to relieve me, and he wasno where to be found on board. We were ordered to lpot and surrounded by marine SP. Since it happened on my watch I was in deep trouble. Lucky fior everone he was found floating and in good health. He had tried to commit suicide but was too good a swimmer
